Individual Therapy
Are you having a difficult time handling the struggles in your life?
Could you use a professional opinion on what you’re going through, or a non-judgmental ear just to listen?
Do you think you could benefit the most from individualized attention?
Are you hesitant to talk to others about your problems?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then individual therapy could be helpful for you. In individual therapy you are the sole focus of a therapist who helps you develop and achieve your therapeutic goals. You will have someone to listen to you and your feelings without judgment. If you’re struggling with any type of problem that may feel overwhelming or you’re feeling stuck, then individual therapy could be right for you.
I primarily use Internal Family Systems (IFS) with my individual clients. I use EMDR, interpersonal therapy, psychoeducation and coaching as well. Regardless of the model, I use a collaborative and supportive approach, and being a marriage and family therapist, I work from a systemic approach.
My individual clients come to see me to seek support in working through a variety of areas including:
- single and dating
- relationships with partners, family members or friends
- depression, anxiety, self-esteem/self-confidence issues
- trauma
- breakup or divorce
- loss/grief
- life transitions
- coping with stressors
- anger management
